Help – Adding Multiple YouTube Channels to an Account
With a TubeItUp account, you can manage all of your YouTube channels as well as authorize other users to manage your channel, and manage brand accounts on behalf of other creators. These capabilities vary based upon your account level.
Adding your first channel is no different from adding additional channels, so we will not be distinguishing between the two processes with the exception of Billing for Premium Accounts.
Managing Channels You Own
(Free through Platinum)
As mentioned above, you can manage as many channels as you want within TubeItUp, as long as you are either the owner or Brand Manager of the channel.
Important: If you have access to a channel owned by another party, but that channel is not a Brand Channel, you will not be able to manage that channel within TubeItUp. This is a Google account security feature, not a problem within our software. |
If you’re logging in for the first time, you will be taken to the Linked YouTube Channels page. Since you have no channels liked at this time, you will need to add a YouTube Channel. Click the Add YouTube Channel button to get started.
Note: The following steps are identical for your first account, as well as all subsequent accounts. |
Next, you’ll be asked to sign in with Google. It’s important to pick the Google account that is the primary email address for the YouTube channel you are trying to add.
Google will then ask you to pick the YouTube account associated with that email address. If you have more than one, don’t worry. You can add as many as you want.
Next, verify that you are allowing TubeItUp to access information from your YouTube channel.
This is necessary because we’ll be accessing data about your videos to make our keyword recommendations. Please rest assured that Google has reviewed and validated our service prior to granting us access to use their oAuth API. You can also rest assured that we never share your personal information or sell your data to third parties. However, it’s always a good idea to read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Once your channel is linked, you will be offered the opportunity to upgrade and/or purchase additional Premium Seats as shown in the image below.
Important: You are not required to upgrade to use our software, Free means FREE! However Premium features will be blocked from use. A list of all features available by account tier are listed on our Pricing page. |
To continue with your free account, either click the Continue with a Free Account link above the upgrade options, or click on any menu item to be taken to that feature.
Managing Channels on Behalf of Others (Brand Channels)
(Pro only)
If you wish to have other TubeItUp users use TubeItUp on your behalf, you must have a Pro account AND your YouTube channel must be a Brand Channel.
Even though you can grant access to other YouTube users access to personal channel within YouTube, the YouTube and Google security protocols will not allow TubeItUp to grant you access through our software.
If you are a Brand Channel, AND you have granted access to your channel within YouTube, AND you have a Pro Seat assigned to your channel, you can add channel managers for that specific channel within TubeItUp. See below for more information about Software Seats.
What are Software Seats
When you first log in to TubeItUp with a Google account, your are assigned a TubeItUp account registered to that same Google email address. Even if the email address is not a Gmail address, the email address must be registered by Google to gain access.
When you add channels, those channels are then linked to your Account. The primary email address of the Channel does not need to match the email address of the Account. However, you must have rights to that channel through both Google and YouTube permissions to be able to access that channel within TubeItUp.
Any time a channel is added to TubeItUp, it automatically receives a Free software seat. You are allotted an unlimited number of Free software seats. We reserve the right to change this at any time, and our Terms and Conditions will always prevail over this Help article.
When you purchase Premium Seats, those seats can be applied to channels. As depicted in the image above, you can purchase seats at different levels. In the above example, the Account has purchased a 2-pack of Pro seats and applied them to the channels TubeItUp Official and TubeItUp Training. Other lower tier seats were also purchased and applied to other channels.
As depicted in the image below, select the available seat from the Subscription Level dropdown for the linked channel.
Applying a Seat to a Different Channel

Once you apply a Premium Seat to a channel, it is locked to that channel for the duration of one subscription period (either monthly or yearly). At the end of the subscription period, once your subscription renews, the seat will unlock. You can either leave the seat assigned to the original channel, or you can transfer it to a new channel. If the seat is reassigned, it will lock again until the end of the current subscription period (monthly or yearly).
Multi-Seat Discounts

Please note the following about Software Seats:
- If you purchase multiple seats within a package (Gold or above), they can be purchased at a discounted price. Discounts are only available for the tier seat package. For clarity, if you purchase 2 Pro seats, you will not get a discount if you purchase a Gold seat.
- If you initiate the purchase of a new tier seat package identical to a seat package you already own, the new seat package will start the discounts at the original pricing structure. For clarity, If you already own a 3-seat package for Gold and you initiate a new Gold seat package (as opposed to adding additional seats to the existing Gold seat package), the new Gold seats will start at the original Gold prices and multi-seat pricing will be applied to the new package.
- Silver seats are not eligible for discounts.
Upgrading / Downgrading Seats (Channels)

If you wish to upgrade or downgrade a subscription, you can initiate this process from the Billing page. To initiate the change, select the Change subscription -> link.
Important: If you upgrade or downgrade a Subscription, it will apply to ALL subscriptions within that Seat Pack. ALL channels linked to the Subscription will conform to the new Subscription Tier. |
On the next screen (depicted below), you can select the new Subscription Tier and/or increase or decrease the number of seats.
Important: When you Upgrade, all changes take effect immediately. If you downgrade, you will continue to use the previous tier features until the end of the current billing cycle. If there are any credits due to you, they will be applied to the next billing cycle. |
Cancelling Subscriptions

- If you cancel a seat subscription, all accounts under that subscription will revert to Free accounts at the end of the current billing cycle. Data linked to the Premium features will be retained for a period of one-year in the event you decide to upgrade again.
- When you cancel a Subscription, it will remain active to the end of the current billing cycle for that Subscription.
Removing Channels

When you remove a channel, it will no longer be accessible within your TubeItUp account. Please note the following with regard to your data:
- TubeItUp will continue to recognize you as the Channel Owner. If you wish to bring this channel into a different account, please see the section below.
- If you re-add the channel, it will resume all normal operations within TubeItUp. We do not delete your data. This is to allow you to continue normal operations in the event the channel was removed on accident.
Moving Channels from One Account to Another

As previously mentioned, the first time a channel is added to an Account, that Account is considered the Channel Owner. If you wish to change Channel Ownership to a different account, please contact support (support@tubeitup.com).
If you believe that someone else has claimed your channel and you would like it to be transferred to your Account, please contact support. You will be required to verify that you are indeed the rightful owner of the channel on YouTube before we will allow the change. Remember, it is impossible for us to grant access to a channel as a Channel Owner without that individual first having rights granted to that individual through both Google and YouTube. The Google API provides no mechanism for TubeItUp to verify which Account owns the channel, only that they individual has access rights.
